i just got out of work and spent like an hour working on updating my blog, how is it? is it cute? i hope so i spent so long on it i got a headache. i plan on adding more things as i go, so it wont be so bare-bones for long #trust.
anyways i want to talk about how my last first day went ^^ i spent 1st and 2nd period running around campus trying to get my schedule fixed but in the end i got to be a teacher's aide for my favorite teacher for both periods! her and i are superrrr close so this was great, plus shes an english teacher who studied in linguistics so shell be able to help me on my personal statement and piqs!!!! (im from cali and my dream school is uc berkeley so those personal insight questions are defo my priority!!!!) she had me clean out some old papers from the last years class to make space for new work :> it was fun being in her class again as ive somehow had her every year of high school.
anyways after that i went to my ap gov class after, the teacher seems nice and as i write this i realize how many (4/6) of my teachers this year are old white men. but i digress, his period was okay, i had a friend in there and we were sat in the same table in the seating chart so it was a fun class. after i went to work, i work in the cafeteria at my school due to a program the district has, for like 25 minutes so it wasnt a lot but it was more-so meaningless work.
afterwards i headed to my 5th period, english!!!! i love english, ive always said that its like an artwork but in language. theres all these intricate things that make up one final piece, i like to see it poetically. i knew majority of the class so i only felt a bit queasy, the reason being that the teacher... hes a bit off. i just cant trust him and especially because of everything ive heard before. hes just not gonna be a very comfortable class but i shall persevere until the end.
my favorite period has to be 6th, i have ib 2d art and i loveeee it. i love making art as much as a little kid does. it has always been one of my favorite things to do and make; it helps that i have a great art teacher too. since ib is a 2 year program, im taking their art period once again this year, which is great because i spent all summer preparing paintings and sketching ideas for my final portfolio. im just so excited but this year... might be wack. now nothing against my teacher, shes amazing, but the counselors overbooked her class by almost 10 kids... legally we can only have up to 32 students but the counselors shoved so many juniors into our class that its predominantly juniors (8 sr. and 30< jr.) and they are very loud. its just a new environment im not comfortabke with yet but even our art teacher said shes gonna be booting half of them out so i hope this sorts itself out right ;;
i honestly hate math, and i dislike the word hate because its so strong, but i genuinely hate math. and this year its only going to be worse... my teacher is maga and believes that ice is appropriate in their actions as well as just hates teenagers??????? idk... hes just weird and id prefer to have another teacher but he is the only person on campus who is offering statistics and i cannot go without my 4 years in math so i must endure heart broken emoji
thats about it for my day, outside of this massive headache and a few odd teachers i think it went well! i will have to deal with what i can and accept some losses but i must remember to push through! but anyways, i wonder how things will go... #wishmeluckforlater bai bai
